Are Vertical (Portrait View) Monitors Better for Coding?

1. White Spaces in Webpages
Since the screen is wider than it is long, the webpages become fragmented leaving large white spaces between contents. Since the length of the screen is small, only a limited length of content is viewable at a time. This creates a problem with long content. Readers have to scroll a lot to read through the content.

The resolution available for vertical monitors is also varied and you don’t have to stick to the 1080p that one chooses for watching movies. Reputed companies like ASUS, AOC and DELL produce vertical monitors up to 4k resolution that will give you great coding experience. They are very easy to set up, quite like the usual landscape monitors.
The other option is to see if you can switch the orientation of your existing monitor. Many companies don’t permit you to switch the default orientation of display but some do. The way to find out is simple. Just go to the Control Panel and under the Appearance and Personalization tab, select Adjust Screen Resolution. In there, a simple drop down menu titled Orientation will let you switch to Portrait from Landscape mode. If this works out, there is no more need of buying new monitors.
However, some programmers swear that both type of screen space is sometimes required. In such a case, multiple screens might be required. A combination of landscape and vertical monitors is achievable for advantage in coding. This approach is however of no importance for general users who don’t require more than one screen of whichever sort.
